APERTURE is a hall of mirrors. A space of liminal transience with six doors to choose from. Each leads you into a distinctive sonic universe, reflecting the persistent states of expansion and contraction of life. The journey is at once abrasive and cathartic, dragging you in to a churning orbit and rearranging the elements of body and mind before spitting you back out into the ether.
We live in extreme times. We attach more and more to our minds and forget to connect to our embodied human experiences. Fascinated by the myriad ways that sound can affect us, Tobias channels his own visceral experiences into the album's dance between rigid and fluid. The push and pull of human life is laid bare as constantly mounting tension finds release in restless cycles. APERTURE'S violent beauty dares us to look closer and examine ourselves through its lens. By zooming in, we can cross the threshold to a pivotal transformation where sound catalyzes an embodied experience of emotion. Tempestuous as it may be, we must not let ourselves forget to feel it.
