Time is an abstract concept, in ancient Greece there were two words for it - "Kronos" and "Kairos". "Kronos" operates as measured time - days, hours, minutes and seconds. "Kairos" refers to festival time, or the "age" we live in. The world has shifted completely since the beginning of the new decade. COVID-19, earthquakes, fires, war, and famine have plagued the earth as both the climate and geopolitical temperatures rise worldwide. Throughout this eerie chapter of "the new normal" or "end times", it is often challenging to remain an optimist. Fantasy, like God, is the only refuge for the human soul. We need fantasy in this dark world, and in Dasychira's first new release in 3 years they are mirroring their playground of magical realism with the state of the world. On the nu-age artist's second LP, they confront technologies that are at the precipice of changing the state of reality as we know it. CRISPR-CAS9, AI, nuclear science and other accelerationist technology are leading to a world where humans no longer have agency. The earth is crying, mother nature is calling for us. Dasychira experienced an earthquake, an eclipse, a pandemic, and pure heartbreak to bring you a highly personal collection of nu-age electronic music made over the last 3 years, incorporating instruments such as the electric guitar, gamelan, violin, vocals and synthesizers to create a genre of their own. Undead includes features from Golin, Embaci, Chuquimamani-Condori, and several other friends to create a diverse, yet memorable LP that serves as a departure from their previous work. They are celebrating the release of their new album with an extensive tour of Europe, performing in Zürich, Amsterdam, Berlin, Glasgow, London, Paris and Athens.

"This is an album about letting go. The only parts left are the pieces of this record I decided to keep. I hope they heal you as much as they have for me."
