Having struggled with seasonal sadness my whole life, I discovered an even deeper connection with the change of season while living in the Baltics where the Northern winter is even longer, learning to appreciate each glimpse of spring from the changes in birdsong to the first signs of green. The song is about cherishing a spiritual connection to the world around us, not letting go of it and how if you love the earth, she will love you back, too. The song is inspired by choral music and features ethereal sound design from layers of cello and nylon guitar to glistening synths and urban field recordings around London.'
