ehhh sry to start the bandcamp note like that but this album made me do it.
“nigdy nie jest dobrze (wojtek)” is made of mental health walk sounds, cognitive behavioral sound design, leave me alone atmospheres and high-passed lust for life.
it’s an in-between moment to try having a party within urself, to test some new ideas about urself, and finally to inhale some professional-amateur-cheese-consuming-basses.

The idea of deeply personal voyeurism is very tempting for me to explore but I find it rly hard to convey in a non-visual medium - it just always lacks somethin. “nigdy nie jest dobrze (wojtek)” somehow makes it work. Maybe because ehh hahah is an observer like me? Heh
With fire-prone snares, rims and stick sounds, he translates big narratives into small stories - stories that are poetic, stories that are introspective, and stories that are goofy. This album feels like a friend who makes my mundane life a bit more fun and helps to enjoy a day while it lasts.
When first hearing it, I had this image of opening a window during a sunny summer day, looking around, grasping all that is happening in my neighborhood.
I cherish that memory, as I cherish this album.

§ ⅠII【160624_EhhHahah】🥲
this album is for sure a very personal one to me, in the sense that i was making it while discovering that I’m depressed and trying to deal with it - hence the strong melancholic background of the whole thing.
music is certainly an obvious way of expressing emotions for me, but what may be peculiar is that I made most of the songs very spontaneously and in short sessions, without spending too much time on them - it’s a more expressive approach that allows me to more accurately capture the momentary mood. Therefore, i can risk saying that it’s a form of therapy BUT I’d rather not use this term directly, so as not to depreciate real therapy.
The songs are ultimately selected to present a certain spectrum of different inspirations - ambient (“hen daleko rap”), nu-jazz, hip-hop, field recordings. there are also IDM moments, more danceable ones. it’s also a form of searching for one's place and I think the whole thing is about some loss and searching (which may never come, wojtek)
