At daybreak the four dark walls reveal their windows – the early morning light glows blue-grey onto the hot, wet dancefloor. This time feels tinged with death; the witching hour past and her spells since enacted. I gaze around the party, swaddled in soft light, the number of bodies is thinned to reveal the fleshy nucleus of dancers and freaks. God is with us in these rank depths. The party was going before I arrived and it’ll be going after I leave – it is endless in tomorrow's simple, blue light. These four tracks are my contributions to the endlessness, my additions to the kick drum’s torrential stream. Piner is the alias of White Owl Records co-founder Jack Cavenaugh.
