I typically start improvising or take an old file and start looping it. with this I took an old Vox recording and a few looped samples and then added another longer piece of droned out piano improv I recorded and recorded them simultaneously from my iPhone, then took that recording and pulled it into audition and recorded with different delay effects shifting. then brought that file back into GarageBand and cut it to play the warped distorted delayed track against the original recordings and then rearranged them again.
