The first stop on The Truth in Guitaring tour. June 29, 2019. Dennis Tyfus hosted us in Antwerpen, we played along Jung an Tagen (who said our set sounded like 'Acid in the Style of David Tudor'). We drove to Antwerpen from Berlin with a stop in Cologne. On the way, we tried to go to Georg Baselitzs' Schloss Derneburg that was hosting a show with Jonathan Meese, Daniel Richter, and Albert Oehlen, but it was appointment only. Beautiful castle. Peter kept getting sick in the car, we almost didn't make it. It was really hot and the show was outside at the sculpture garden - over 100 degrees. Jonathan got a splinter and someone helped him get it out? I think we made up some scheme based on the seasons for this set, and something about beers being finished before the next season started, but it was really hard to drink beer and guitar at the same time. I remember getting boo-ed after this set but maybe was just imagining it. Fun dancing afterward and then we slept in a pitch dark practice space somewhere on the outside of town. We were going to release the whole tour as a 2xCD set with 24 page booklet, but the manufacturer we were using went out of business during the pandemic and took our deposit. So now we'll release it here.
