Eterna (Arrangement For Choir) is an adaptation of Chapter 10 from the album Eterna 3388 by Devid Ciampalini, reimagined for choir, magnetic tape, and percussion. Performed live on July 14th in Livorno at the contemporary art research center, Carico Massimo, the 26-minute piece unfolds as an electroacoustic journey imbued with sacrality. Originally conceived through the manipulation of multitrack-recorded choirs and enriched with pointillistic symphonic samples, the live composition transforms into an analogue interplay between an ensemble of ten voices and two percussionists. Through this raw synthesis, Ciampalini crafts a neo-primitive, organic instrument, orchestrating a blanket of dynamic tension while standing as a vigilant witness to a sonic tug of war.
