Clothesline From Hell’s second single from his upcoming EP Soon We’ll All Be Smoking feels like a summer anthem. Mixing breakbeats, acoustic guitars and an arsenal of samples, “You Don’t Know” finds sole member Adam Laframboise seemingly throwing every idea at the wall. On the nearly five-minute track, DJ scratches, reversed voices and even James Brown’s “Funky Drummer” break make an appearance. It works to great effect; the song is both familiar and new, bringing to mind a contemporary version of 90s slacker rock. “You Don’t Know” is a one-two punch of stacked vocals and twangy guitars, all leading to a massive drop that amps the track up to 100 and never looks back.
