Can you tell us about this track?

Lei Sentiva (she sensed it/she felt it) / Vai vai vai (go) / Lo Sentito to to to (I heard, I sensed it) / Sapevo (I knew) / Cosi stanca (I'm so tired) / Coprimi finché non sogno (cover me until I dream) / Posso restare? (can I stay) / Lo non sto più cercando (I am not searching anymore) / Non più.

Strokes of fade happen to all of us, coming as a shock, no one is prepared. Trying to make sense and gain control, trying to pull the strings together of what is out of our hands—with time comes clarity. In hindsight you already knew, but it makes more sense knowing that acceptance=no more searching, and giving up=letting go. Finding peace by trusting life again—soft resignation. Writing these lyrics, I understood the message way later, this song comforted me a lot.

What's your process?

In life or creatively? :) I try to write a lot, create a surrounding where I can be most honest and focused. Experiencing things, going out, hearing stories and seeing links, finding expressions for sentiments and complex thoughts. When making music, I want to be completely in the present, which mostly has a connection with how much space you have and you're given.

Tell us about being a musician in Switzerland.

It's privileged, funding-wise, and a lot of community in my experience. It's still no money and hard work below minimum wage, but it is easier to realise projects and survive as a musician in Switzerland, than in other countries. There are a few places to see international artists, venues with a progressive booking and curating. There are many inspiring artists and places. Yet it's small and wherever you are, it's important to see/play shows and festivals in other countries to check different realities and make other experiences.

Who are your favorite Swiss artists?

Many.

Who would you like to see perform in Switzerland?

In general, more adventurous music.
