LOLTRAX001 is the first release from Mancunian computer musician Joe Beedles and Guillaume Dujat ’s new LOL Editions label. The record is a compilation featuring contemporary abstract electronic music that runs the gamut from consonant (Dan Valentine) to fully atonal (Chloë Sobek), proto dubstep (Kindohm) to full blown arhythmic abstraction (Ellen Phan), with some older established names (Robin Fox) to balance out the mostly lesser known, up and coming ones. The comp is a focused, yet diverse grouping of music and is a strong start to what will surely be a label worth watching if you are a fan of challenging, forward thinking electronic music.
