Can you tell us about this track?
In this track, I wanted to explore the more melodic side of baile funk, bringing in instruments that are already present in the genre, but giving them more prominence, like the flute melodies. It was released some time ago to celebrate the milestone of 300 followers on SoundCloud and the huge support from my friends and people close to me, and it was also a way of releasing my musical project, a kind of "this is the new me.”
What's your process?
The music is produced in FL Studio 21, with the help of several VSTs, focusing mainly on flutes, harps and several other wind and string instruments. There is a variety of voices present and that is why the term "MTG" was used, as it is a combination of MCs from various corners of Brazil. (MTG means "montagem" which is similar to something like a mashup, or remix in the language of baile funk.)
Can you tell us about your scene?
I don't know many artists from my region, but the underground baile funk scene is something that inspires me every day and leaves me incredulous at each experimental release that is addictive to listen to.
Who are your biggest influences?
My friends! And other DJs and producers from different regions such as DJ Rugal Original, Deekapz, Rensgo and DJ BONNi.
Who's your favorite artist on Nina?
The Favela bass in person: Yandrel.
Any shoutouts?
Big shout out to Felipe, who helped me choose the cover, thanks to all my friends and a hug to the guys who really enjoy my sound.
