BOOSTED is the new three-song collaboration between Brooklyn digital hardcore ragers MURDERPACT and the less geographically-concrete “global data sourcer” TRNGS. Each song on the EP is named after its tempo, tagged in the title not as BPM but rather MPH. So: “140MPH,” “160MPH,” “180MPH.” All three tracks are a freedom splay of a million styles, jammed together and smashed into fractals. Then the process starts all over again. This is the real jamtronica. It’s fitting that the physical form of the release is a “possessed flash drive” that contains malware designed by the artist Mark Fingerhut. The music on BOOSTED sounds like a compromised computer rave dancing.
