pets is a New York City trio consisting of the brothers Johnny and Nick Campolo along with the musician Chase Ceglie. Their debut single “hush hush” is a gorgeous ballad that fuses sophisti-pop moves with house drums. The subtle acid flourishes here are really nice; this is music somewhere between The Blue Nile and Larry Heard. This is music that is lilting and jacking at the same damn time.
