ЯTRA is a Russian producer known for kicking out sharp-edged electro. Liberation EP is the name of their new project, and though it is completely instrumental, it manages to transmit the feeling of political unrest in action. It is five tracks of harsh, distorted electro that at times verges on industrial. It’s distorted and driving and funky. The liner notes for the CD version of the EP dedicate the project to “seekers of absolute freedom.” Play it loud.
