This week’s winner is the album Electronica Romantica by Under Changeover, a sprawling, high-impact expedition through many regions of contemporary electronic music. We sent over some questions to Under Changeover, read the interview and listen to the release below.

Where are you from?

Under Changeover: I'm half Scottish and half Italian but raised in the countryside of southern Switzerland. I received classical piano training in the afternoon and played electric guitar in hardcore punk bands by night. It was through electronic music that I found the perfect hook to launch my solo project Under Changeover.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it?

I craft emotionally charged instrumental tracks that blend ethereal soundscapes with powerful, harsh melodies, and a twist of pop. My music fuses ambient, dance, dream pop, and acoustic piano elements, creating a distinctive duality of two worlds that balances aggressive and romantic emotions. 

Tell us about your release on Nina.

On Electronica Romantica, I strike this dualism of energy, where vibrant and dynamic forces collide with romantic sweetness, creating a balance. I try to guide listeners through an immersive experience that pushes them toward ethereal sensory horizons. Produced in collaboration with Money Lang, I can define Electronica Romantica as a vast green meadow that, though under the shadow of a distant thunderstorm, offers the serenity of something lush and transformative.

What kind of tools do you use to make music?

I mainly use my piano, guitar, and my super white steel Waldorf synth.
