French producer Unklevon is a real electro savant, and his new release UN1C throws the equation on the board like Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting. Ooh wee, this record is fire. It’s 11 tracks of body-rocking techno bass; one highlight is “Bag Secured,” a collaboration with the vocalist Maral, which pumps like Aux88 and their best. The whole thing just rolls, and works both in the club and on your headphones as you attempt to muster up enough energy to walk to the nutritional center.
