Peak Oil founder and ambient music lifer Brian Foote has started a new label that takes a focus on the work of the photographer and musician Izaak Schlossman. It’s called False Aralia. If the first release is any indication, we are in dubby, smudgy territory here. There are a lot of record collector signposts we could point to in order to attempt to explain this music, but what takes precedence over any of that is the way Schlossman’s sounds waft through the listener’s dome.
