after a year of silence, éter takes a turn in the road with cosas simples, the debut album by medellín-born, switzerland-based musician, dav. moving away from the sonic explorations of his collective projects mina vía flores and corriendo, dav leans into a sound that still feels close to the body—quiet, everyday and gently melancholic.
cosas simples unfolds from a perception of nature as a continuum: a flow where no clear boundary exists between humans, plants, microorganisms, phenomena, invisible fields or language. everything moves together, part of the same living system in constant transformation. here, dav reimagines the idea of saudade through shifting languages, silences and fragile vocal gestures that hint at forms of communication beyond human.
a record born from intimate and simple acoustic sketches, shaped and expanded through the detailed sound design of eme in momoto studio. the result is a set of songs that feel both grounded and dissolved: delicate movements of strings, breath and synthesis, gently deconstructed and suspended in mist.
