I would randomly choose 8 field/mining tracks and 8 break tracks to have assigned to 16 faders on my controller. I recorded a few improvised passes down to a stereo mix not really knowing which loop was assigned to which fader. Then I would repeat with with another batch of 8+8 tracks. I did this about a half dozen times and then edited a mix together of the highlights.
