Can you tell us about this track?
It’s a short story, a confusing warp through different emotional states. It’s a reminder that despite all the confusion there’s no need to worry.
What’s your process?
I don’t have a fixed process. Sometimes I start with a random sample or a MIDI file. Sometimes I start with drums or some chords. And then I’ll see where it takes me. At the moment I try to make chord progressions that make me want to sing.
Tell us about being a musician in Switzerland.
It’s good, it’s comfortable. There are a lot of talented people around and an active club scene. A lot is going on. There are lots of opportunities to play. But in recent years in Zurich some good alternative venues have closed. I think for a healthy creative scene, non-commercial venues are important. Lucky for us, some friends opened a venue called das, which is the best. Also, there is a lot of funding for music and culture which is a privilege.
