Can you tell us about this track?
This track is one of my earliest organ recordings, I didn’t know much about the instrument at the time. I love its airy textures and the way the instrument seems to breathe. It starts shifting its tones by trying out different pulling pressures of the first manual's registers, kind of searching for something that can’t be reached. Then it just lets go of that tension and resolves into a sparse melody. It’s naive but beautiful to me.
What's your process?
I love this approach of just being hands on with the instrument and recording.
Tell us about being a musician in Switzerland.
We can do a lot with what we have here and it’s cool. There's room for experimentation and for pushing boundaries and I feel very grateful to have so many inspiring working people around me. Being a musician in Switzerland often means having access to certain platforms, resources, and connections/possibilities that are shaped by the size and structure of the scene, which is something I don’t take for granted.
Who are your favorite Swiss artists?
