Can you tell us about this track?
This is hexd trance with bits of jungle, weird stuff. We sometimes use funk hits as the main core of our tracks while also chopping it and modifying it to a point that it becomes something else entirely, and this track is a case of that. A good funk track to us is usually experimental, not only in the field of sampling, but in its odd approach to rhythm and catchy hooks, the more unpredictable, weird, absurd, heavy and exquisite, the better.
What's your process?
We usually get in "sync,” and it might take time for us to reach this point, but we always align to make something we truly love and are proud of. We just share beats until one of us tells the other "what if we make that" and "that” becomes something completely crazy along the way.
Can you tell us about your scene?
It is really interesting to think of a "scene" when we make this kind of music. We don't really feel we belong anywhere really while at the same time, we borrow and mess with different styles ranging from the mainstream to the deepest underground hole. The artists and colleagues we resonate with are often so distant and also so obscure it's difficult to make a proper living and breathing "scene,” but we struggle in our little digital realm to always make bizarre Brazilian electronic music.
Who are your biggest influences?
A good range of Brazilian and foreign producers: Omolu, Maffalda, Dennis DJ, a whole age of Furacão 2000, Mr. Catra, Valesca Popozuda, DJ Marky, DJ Patife, Squarepusher, Machine Girl, Christoph de Babalon ... Wow. So many names, it won't fit here.
Who's your favorite artist on Nina?

Shoutout to our good friends Nukleart, Starmoon, Yandrel, Agazero, MINTTT, ratpress, and all the great young talents that make weird danceable noise in Brazil.
