Today The One is boysinblush.

boysinblush is one person of multitudes. More than you, more than most. A person of effortless and educated steeze. A person as at home on a Surf Gang show lineup in Miami as he is on a disgusting, I mean legitimately disgusting, filth-splattered, scum-smeared noise-and-power-electronics show where the headliner is some emaciated spine-contorting kook deepthroating a disease-ridden SM57. He could play a furry convention or a Boy Harsher show, he’s as well-versed in early-2000s French screamo as he is Hoodrich Pablo Juan.
It’s easy to have taste. It’s hard to write a song. boysinblush can do what’s hard. With tuchscreen as Suzy Sheer, with Snow Strippers (though it may never see light of day), with Caspr. Hard rockers, fringe swoopers, pastoral boppers, goth’d out mopers, hyperactive heartstoppers — all unified by an innate sense of melody that can’t be taught, only bestowed from above.
We did an interview to accompany a song premiere. The song is 'thingsyousaid'. It's from the forthcoming TT guitar music compilation Through the Fire and Flames, ‘curated’ by Madjestic Kasual. It is described by Madjestic Kasual as “Heart-soaring emocore axe heroism”. That description is correct. You can listen now. You can read interview. You will.

First thing you'll do with the 1.11 million Canadian dollars I will PayPal you.
I'd probably get locked out of my account due to the transaction size but I'd like to think I wouldn't let that kind of money get to my head.
You have one day to live, because I'm going to kill you. Your demise is unavoidable and non-negotiable. What do you do with this day?
Thank everyone.
One memory you'll cherish on your deathbed.
Writing these interview responses in my living room in New York while my roommate records some vocals across the couch from me.
Your public enemy number 1, living or dead.
Lowballers, fake friends, A&Rs, PayPal, journalists, the clock, Bushwick.

I have here a medal on which the Number 1 is engraved. You can give it to one person who deserves it. They will wear it with pride, probably forever. Who do you give it to?
tuchscreen
"Doing a number one" is a euphemism for pissing urine through your urethra. Tell me a good pee-related anecdote.
That's crass.
You're making your debut appearance for the sports team of your choosing. What team and what's your walkout song?
Fun Stealer by Ramleh. I don't like team sports so it'd have to be UFC or something.
It's nice to look out for number one. What does self-care look like for you?
Rewatching the Out of the Blue by Dennis Hopper.

One piece of clothing you can't live without.
I love clothes but I don't really have a physical attachment to any particular piece, my taste changes too much. I was gonna say something dumb like "underwear" but I like all my 00s Dior Homme pieces, I've been collecting them on and off for around 4 years.
First time a piece of art, media or cultural output moved you to tears.
Listening to Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park when I was seven or eight. It was a bootleg CD that my uncle gave me from his store overseas in Syria when I visited. That store used to belong to my dad in the 80s and he'd make and sell bootleg cassettes before immigrating to America in the 90s. "In Between" and "In Pieces" are both sleeper hits on that album.
One object you hold dear.
My Fender Jazzmaster. It was my first real guitar and a modified version of the Lee Ranaldo signature model which you can't get anymore. It's still at my parents house in Vancouver. I bought it on Craigslist for a steal with money from my first job delivering newspapers.
