Can you tell us about this track/release?

“Killing Nina” is the first song I felt ready to release into the world. It’s about feeling nothing. I had just moved to Barcelona and started losing touch with what was happening around me. It wasn’t good or bad—it just wasn’t. This song is about crying without really knowing why, and feeling emptiness. That was my reality.

What's your process?

I met Hadren just a few weeks after moving, and we recorded this song on the second day of knowing each other, in my tiny 3-square-meter room with a mic and a sock as a pop filter. I remember putting on makeup to go out and then rushing to record one of the main melodies. Adri (Hadren) got frustrated with me at first, but eventually he embraced my chaos. That’s how our friendship really began.

Tell us about the scene in Barcelona

The outcasts are here. The community isn’t just about music—it’s about every kind of art: design, photography, dance, you name it. It all comes together here. Everyone is a bit of an outsider, leaving home with their energy flipped around, looking for family and something new. I love the quality and diversity of the projects that have been coming out of this city lately. I’m surrounded by inspiration and love, and it makes me so happy to see my friends shaping the culture here.
