Can you tell us about this track/release?
"Aigua Viva" is an exploration of a mental space I found myself in after the pandemic, as I entered into adulthood. Musically, I drew inspiration from ambient music, Mediterranean folklore, IDM, shoegaze, and noise. The title, "Aigua Viva," which means "Living Water" in Catalan, represents a concept I find beautiful. It brings a sense of peace, allowing acceptance of uncertainty and the unknown. I like the circular nature of this idea.
What's your process?
I’m obsessed with the world-building around music records. So I always start thinking about that. I focus on the production long before I even think about vocals. Once I have a solid instrumental foundation, words, concepts, and melodies naturally begin to emerge in my mind.
Tell us about the scene in Barcelona
It’s small, but it's powerful. I think artists in Barcelona have a real drive to push the boundaries and a lot of love for electronic music. The scene definitely has its own identity.
